The lush Ango Retreat vegetable garden in early summer.

Ango Retreat is a 20 acre tract of woodlands,
meadows, gardens and a pond, included within
the British Columbia Agricultural Land Reserve.

Our intention as stewards of this beautiful land is
to intensify our production of food, seed and herb
crops, using environmentally sensitive and natural
permaculture farming practices, while preserving
and enhancing the natural features that support
the abundant wildlife who share this home.

We are members of the local Natural Growers Association,
and participants in a heritage seed-producing program.

Currently we grow an extensive variety of vegetables,
fruits, flowers and herbs, using locally grown seed.

We expect our new plantings of 70+ blueberries
to be ready for full U-pick harvest in 2009.

Planning for a Zen Garden is underway.
